Power demand forecast continued to rise due to AI, data centers, and broader electrification. Where are you currently finding investment opportunities in power demand?
Eric Bright:
One area I'd flag on the power side that we're seeing pretty strong growth in and companies pivoting towards is energy storage. Really, that's batteries at the moment, but there are a few other forms. And really, you're seeing the cost of new batteries, utility sort of scale batteries that look like shipping containers has come down hugely, 3x in some circumstances, sort of following the same curve as a solar cell did ten years ago. Also, batteries are being paired directly with generation assets such that there's a dispatch profile where you might own a generation asset, but you might not be able to generate at the right time. You can generate, store it in the battery, and release it in the evening. And there's a lot of investment going into different shapes and sizes of storage on that basis.
