Charles (Chip) vK. Carlson, CFA
At Corbyn Investment Management, Chip Carlson is responsible for implementing portfolio strategies, analyzing securities, reviewing recommendations, and managing trading related to the Fund. Chip has managed the Fund since 1987. He earned the right to use the Chartered Financial Analyst designation in 1986. He has been in the investment management industry since he started with Corbyn in 1983. Chip is a graduate of The Johns Hopkins University.
Michael A. Goodman, CFA
Mike Goodman joined Corbyn Investment Management in 2009. He is responsible for analysis and trading of current and prospective investments related to the Fund. Mike has co-managed the Fund since 2022. In 2006, he earned the right to use the Chartered Financial Analyst designation and has been in the investment management industry since 2003. Mike graduated magna cum laude from Carleton College with a B.A. in Psychology.
Our long dedication to the Greenspring Fund’s investment philosophy has allowed for the Fund’s performance to avoid the “noise” and “distortion” of frequent manager turnover often apparent in today’s mutual fund industry.
